Senatobia Public Works Water/Sewer Department, in coordination with Mississippi Rural Water Association, will be conducting smoke testing on all sewer mains in your area beginning Wednesday, September 23, 2026 (weather permitting).  Hopefully all testing will be completed by end of business hours on Thursday, September 24, 2026.  Smoke testing will allow the department to pinpoint all areas of failure located along sewer mains.  Once testing is completed, the repair points will be marked on a GIS.  This will allow Public Works to start correcting sewer issues currently affecting the area.  Below is a diagram of what residents should expect to see during testing.
