Throughout his career, he has led specialized units including K-9, undercover narcotics, and SWAT, roles that demanded discipline, accountability, and sound decision making under pressure. His leadership style is firm, fair, and focused, and he is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of professionalism within the department.

Chief Vanderford understands the importance of transparency and public trust, especially at a time when communities are calling for reform and stronger relationships between law enforcement and citizens.
