Road Closure Notice – Five Star City Fest 2026
Residents and Businesses,
Starting at 3pm Friday, May 8, 2026 parts of the Downtown area will be closed until Sunday May 10, 2026 at 10am.
The Post Office will remain accessible.
No moving cars in Gabbert Park on Saturday May 9, 2026 from 8am to 3pm
No parking other than City and Festival Staff allowed behind City Buildings and in the parking lot on N Front St until Sunday May 10, 2026 at 10am.
There is free public parking in multiple lots across the Downtown area, as well as parking in the Senatobia schools parking lot.
Road Closure Notice – Not Yo Mama’s 5K
Due to the 5K, several streets will be temporarily closed on Friday, May 08, 2026, for public safety and event operations.
Roads Affected:
Main Roadways: Hwy 51 From Strayhorn St to Northwest Drive, Main Street (Center St to the Railroad Track), Tate Street (from Center Street to Park Street)
Side Roads Affected: College, Porter, & Front
Closure Times: Officers will clear Downtown parking by 3:30 pm (at Front Street and Main Street). Officers will shut down Downtown at 4:00 pm. All other streets will be closed starting at 6:15 pm until the end of the race.
We kindly ask all motorists to stay behind barriers, do not cross mid-route, plan alternate routes, and allow extra travel time. Parking restrictions will also be in effect along the parade route.
