BOARD ORDER OF THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF SENATOBIA, MISSISSIPPI
SETTING SPECIAL ELECTION DATE OF FEBRUARY 13, 2024
The Mayor and Board of Aldermen took up for further consideration the recently vacated Alderman at Large position on the Board of Alderman for the City of Senatobia.
Upon motion made by Alderman Dear, seconded by Alderman Simpson, there was a unanimous vote to make a finding of fact that Alderman at Large Adam Moore resigned from his position of Alderman at Large for the City of Senatobia due to Mr. Moore having moved out of the City Limits of the City of Senatobia; Finding that this leaves a vacancy in an elective municipal office of an unexpired term that exceeds six (6) months; Finding that this vacancy must be filled by a Special Election; Finding that a Special Election must be set not less than thirty (30) days nor more than forty-five (45) days of vacancy a Special Election date of February 13, 2024 was set.
ORDERED AND DONE on this the 2nd day of January 2024.
City Hall will be open for Absentee Voting M-F 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm, Saturday February 3rd 8am-12pm and Saturday February 10th 8am-12pm.
